Hows The Water?

I want to take my nephews out fishing this weekend,and they're requesting creek or small river fishing.I was thinking S.W. of Calgary or into the upper Elbow or Little Elbow also.

Anyone been out and about and know what water conditions are like?

My thanks in advance for any info.

Haven't been down in that neck of the woods. I'm sure someone will post up from down there though.

We were up at Winchell Lake and the water was clear there. The creeks look like they've cleaned up also out by Cochrane.

Upper highwood is fishable but might still be a little fast or high depending on your nephews ages. I never looked at it while I was up there but Cataract creek would probably be pretty good and you can usually catch quite a few brookies which makes it a good kids spot.
