I was out bear hunting on Friday evening and I arrowed a Wolf with my recurve. It came in a started to circle down wind when it gave me a 24 yard broadside shot. I made a perfect double lunger and the wolf was down in 100 yards. I have the hunt on video too. I've posted a couple of pictures in the 2005 photo gallery.

My taxidermist said that I was the first guy he heard of who got a wolf with a traditional bow. I was wondering how could I find this out for sure?

He is some additional info.

I used a 54# @ 27" Cari-bow Taiga Recurve (made by Abe Penner)
Beman 400 arrows weighted for a total of 640 gr
A 125 gr snuffer 3 blade cut on impact broadhead
The wolf was 6' long and I would say it was over 100 lbs
It was 36" from paw to shoulder.
The skull green scored 16 6/16".

I looked at the minimum scores needed to get into SCI (Safari Club International) and it looks like it's 12 0/16" for a bow hunter.

A friend of mine found out on the Traditional Archers of Alberta website that there is at least one other Traditional Archer out there who took a wolf. It was dated May 2004 but the picture was in black and white.

Anyone know the story behind this wolf and it's photo? The hunter's name was Richard A. Case.
