What do you all think of this? Personally I think it is terrible for the image of hunters. Sounds like he is a real money hungry slob.

Alberta hunter's deal

CALGARY - An Alberta hunter says he won't kill a grizzly bear this spring
if someone meets his price on eBay -- disgusting both his fellow hunters and conservationists. "He's holding a bear's life for ransom," said Bob Semchuk, president of the Calgary Fish and Game association. "I'm absolutely shocked that someone would do that. It's totally bizarre."

Among the bearskin rugs and bear insignia platinum rings, a man has listed his Alberta spring bear hunting licence -- one of 73 issued by the province drawn randomly from 2,678 applications. The item, titled "Grizzly Bear, save a life," states in the description that the lister will destroy his non-transferable tag and mail it to the successful bidder, thus preventing a bear's death. Dave Ealey, spokesman for Alberta Sustainable Resource Develop-ment, said the man is not doing anything illegal. "It is illegal to sell or transfer a tag, but if this person is choosing to not actually go out and use the license, that's his choice," Mr. Ealey said. Sustainable resources officials issue the licences expecting a six to 15% "harvest" rate. The hunting season began April 1, and ends May 15. The eBay lister has said that until he receives the "bid price," he will continue to hunt for a bear.
