Well. the cold and snow have finally moved the game down into the fields.
Lots less animals in the hills now. Hunted all day Friday and most of Sat. and most of what we saw was out in the open.
Saw a huge herd of cow elk (40+) out on a hay field in 318. The owner was only too happy to give us permission to remove a hay thief, and now the herd is missing its lead cow. YEEHAW, I got meat!!!!!!!!!!!
Just in time too! My elk draw expires today.

Now, if I can just get a couple of whiteys next weekend.
