:? i thought albino's had red eyes? maybe im wrong but i have seen one here in northern ont. and when it got shot they found it had been tick infested thats why it had changed white according to the m.n.r

You're right Lonewolf , a true albino's eyes are a pinkish color . I cant tell for sure on these moose pics but this one looks like an albino. I came across a few piebald deer when I was doing commercial taxidermy but never an albino. True albino's are pretty rare but I have seen pics of albino deer and moose and a black bear. Has anyone ever seen a white elk or anything else?

Hey Sir,
I think I may have seen the pics before, Is this the moose from the Chinchaga region? A friend of mine seen a cinnamon colored bear with 2 white cubs last spring near Peace River but wasn't able to get any pics.

I landed at the Chinchaga airstrip a few years back and low and behold, about a 60" Moose was standing on the side of the runway. Truly huge!

cdnarcher, was he a white 60 incher or the normal black? I heard there was a big white bull in NFLD a few years back

I bet he would be tricky too hunt in the snow we have had.... Might have too rub the eyes ones or twice too make sure you were seeing that rite... :rofl:

I took a picture of an albino elk at a farm kind of by brocket. when i get the pictures developed i will post one.
