Here in Canada It's not a matter of how much you can draw, but a matter of how much you can draw in the cold.
I've seen alot of guys pulling 70-80 pounds only to find out when it got cold, sitting in there tree stand or what ever, they couldn't draw.
With alot of these new bows it really isn't nessasary to pull more than 60-65 lbs.
I hunted with a Hoyt Supertec this year. A 412 grn arrow at 66 lbs, and man did it pack a punch.

It's important that you pick a bow with a draw weight that you can pull from all positions and angles. Standing, sitting, kneeling, downwards, twisted. When you're stand hunting, you'll often be way too visible to change positions to shoot.
With the newer, faster bows, a heavy draw weight isn't as necessary to generate good kinetic energy.
Good Hunting!

Also FPS (Feet Per Second) is another huge thing to take into consideration.
I went from a 80 lbs draw with 230 FPS last year to a 70lb draw with 315 fps this year and there is a huge difference.
Don't go by pounds, go by fps...........My 2 cents.

We have a great variety of animals to hunt. Some species of deers (Axis, red "colorado", Dama or gamo, De las pampas, etc)
we also have javalis (they are similar to your wild hogs but bigers), Pecaries or javalinas, some Antilopes, Goats, Carpinchos or capibaras...
And many more...
You can see some of them on www.bowhuntingargentina.com
