I seen it on TV as well. I offer a caution. I made a comment about that at coffee and was told that I was sick too as I killed and ate Bambi!

I guess it is all in how you were raised.

Interesting....Canadians have been hunters and trappers since ...well...for ever...Going back to our great great gradfathers. We are in Canada....Not Asia...Like I said before.... Ask the people that say you are sick for killing and eating bambi....Do they eat meat? Cows? Well..shit....let's have a look at what the beef goes through to end up on your plate..It's interesting. I would much rather eat "Bambi" than steak given what happens to the "Meat" that those other people eat. I tell them that I care about my family enough to feed them good meat...Not processed crap.

These people that make comments about hunters killing animals really piss me off. Since the beginning of man's exsistance he has been a hunter. I'd like to put these people on an island with no food , just a gun and a knife and see how long it would be before they stared killing animals to eat. They're a bunch of hypecrits that dont mind throwing some beef on the bbq and woffing it down. At least the wild animals have a chance to die of old age which alot do, farm animals are born and raised to be killed to feed these rightous A-holes. Now when someone makes a negitive comment about me killing animals I tell them I'm an animal lover and that they taste great. I ask them why they dont have the balls to kill there own meat instead of having someone else do it for them.

Well I guess that I should have explained my post a little further about the discussion at the coffee shop. Not all the talk was about hunting deer and eating wild game etc. There was considerable discussion about our concept of what is acceptable and who are we to say that eating any animal is not correct. It was suggested that dogs may be good meat and that there are too many dogs around so why not. From there the conversation got interesting but I will not go any farther. It was very interesting and made me think.

Never mind the eating of dogs, can you imagine what kind of comments floated around about eating cats. My stomach was sore for an hour from laughing.

Myself being a rural stubble jumper, I will not order dog when I eat out. This old man will stick to what he knows. Venison backstrap is #1.
