Spot shooting is alot more fun than it appears. If you belong to a club then you may be able to join a league. Maybe we can get a league going on here and post up our scores. There are also mail matches that you can shoot in. Here is a link to the FCA website with all the rules and classes.

Just off the top of my head. By unlimited do you mean target sight and scope? then you shoot inner ten on a 40cm target at 18m(20yds). If you mean Bowhunter unlimited then as long as you are fixed pin no level and under 12" stabilizer then you can shoot outer ten. If your club is affiliated with the BC Archery Association then you can shoot in a mail match that usually starts in January. I think you can join on your own and still be eligible. I used to shoot spots quite often but now I am busy with my kids sports so it has cut my shooting time down quite a bit.

In FITA the top class is known as the compound class, scopes, levels, v-bars and long stabilizers can all be used. The small inner ten ring (x-ring) counts as ten while the remainder of the yellow is cored as a nine.
The Bowhunter Unlimited class does not allow the use of a magnifying lens, level or v-bars. The stabilizer must be under 12" in length. A moveable sight CAN be used in this class for target archery but as previusly indicated can not contain a lens or level. The large ten ring is used in this class.
