So bow season went fairly well this year :-D I got a shot a whitetail saw lots of deer and preforemed an awsome stock on a mule deer in the Red Deer river valley near trochu. that was definetly the highlight of my year, and I even brought a buddy out who has never bowhunted before and man let me tell you he is right into it now  the fever is running in his blood, alough I don't think his fiance is very happy with me now  anyway no deer this year, but I still have the month to bowhunt the bow zone around Edm. I will let you guys know how I made out, well bye for now

Once you get the fever it's pretty hard to shake.

Well, I did get to hunt in the Edm bowzone only once, I was set up outside of some willows and it must have been right in the rut because I could hear a buck walking out of the trees beside me and he was grunting and grunting and grunting, man did I start shaking!!!! Maybe from the cold, but I think it was more the adrenaline running through my blood  So I was sitting there and then all the sudden he must have spooked a bit because he blew a whhhheeeezzzee at me and then took off and I never saw anything fot the rest of the night! that could be mostly due to the skidooers though. Oh well another year and no deer, you know it is going to happen, and its not like I have not had my chances.... I am going to practise so hard this year and my bow is going to be shooting dead on every time for next year :-D this is what is keeping my love for bowhunting the chase and the learning and the well I am going to get one this year thoughts.. :-D well I said I would give an update on my hunting this year so here it is. Oh and hey, I heard from a guy that when a deer wheezes at you you should do it back, is there any truth in that?

It can't hurt to blow back. He may think you are another deer and come in to investigate. Just count your blessings that you got to spend some time doing something that you enjoy. It is called hunting, not harvesting for a reason. Maybe I say that cuz I have no meat in the freezer either. Yet, anyways. Still have a Camp Wainwright hunt next week. Good luck next year!
