Im looking at putting a drop away rest on my bow and have narrowed it down to thesse 2, I like the price on the apache, and in general like NAP products, but Im a little unsure if I like the tooless adjustment. The trophy taker is a little pricier and I have heard makes a little more noise. Can anyone who has shot one or the other or both shed a little light on the subject for me?

Hey Jason, both rests should be pretty good. I am also a little unsure when it comes to gear with tool-less adjustment. It seems to me like something could come loose easier. I know a few guys who shoot the Apache with no problems, as well as the TT and the TT does seem to be a little bit louder, but its hard to tell without putting them on exactly the same bow. Trophy Taker does make very solid products though.
Personally i shoot a Vapour Trail Limb Driver and love it. Its not full capture but its deadly accurate and easy to tune. Vapour Trail also has a new limb driver pro v, that is full capture. It might be worth a look depending what your price is, i know thats whats going on my hunting rig this fall.

Hi iluustrated1,
Althought I can't comment directly on either of the products you've mentioned, I can mention something about tool-less accessories....
A few years back I puchased a Trophy Ridge vertical pin sight that had the tool-less option on it. Was great for the initial "gang-style" adjustments to get the housing close, then I used the micro-adjustments of each pin to continue to sight in. After the first day of shooting though, towards the end of my shooting I started to shoot higher.... never thought anything about it until the next time I was shooting and started off shooting higher.
What had happened is the tool-less adjustments had loosened off just enough to allow the sight to move due to gravity, and therefore fell slightly down. After discovering that, I re-adjusted and continued to shoot the 2nd day. Again, towards the end I started to shoot higher. The tool-less had again come loose. At this point, I used a pair of plyers on the "tool-less" screws and tightened them.
3rd day in, and they came loose again. It could've been that the screw heads were plastic, it could've been that I was only tightening by hand, I'm not sure. After that day, I replaced them with good old fashioned metal screws and the sight never moved after that.
In short, I think the tool-less functionality is a cool feature, but after something is adjusted and set to it's final position, it doesn't / shouldn't move ever again. Why not have the security of metal screws / metal wrenches tightening down the accessory to a point where you know it's not going to move?
BTW, that was my last time I've ever dealt with tool-less adjustments. Now all my adjustments are done by wrench and are set permanently on a one time basis, never to move again (unless needed by new strings or what have you....)
Just my $0.02
