Tree Stand Height

Alright guys and gals , how high should a tree stand be to be effective. The stand that I have placed is 15' off the ground to the platform and seeing as this is my first year in a tree I don't know if I would go much higher.

Is this an effective height or do you think it is too low

my humble opinion is it depends on the area and time of the year. I've set up tree stands @ 15, 20 and gawd 25' up. They have all worked, more or less.

During the deer rut it doesn't matter

I've been @ 15' and called in a bull Elk and he didn't see me until it was too late.
