Hello everyone, great site.

I have been a rifle hunter all my life and its time for a change, so I have to decided to buy a bow. I have spent countless hours reserching about alot of different bows, and can't make up my mind which one to buy. All the high end bows are going to run me well over $1000, and if I don't enjoy it, I'm going to lose alot of money on resale. So I have a chance to buy a 2009 dxt dressed up with some pretty good stuff,... it comes with a plano hard case and arrows as well, for $550. A older gentleman has this bow, and it has been well taken care of. Sooooo do you think I'm making the right move,......is it a good starter bow? ......All addvice welcome,

Thanks,
Tigney

it is a great bow, i bought one this year aswell. I bought it after my G5 Quest Hammer, that i bought brand new, and after less than 50 shots through it the string broke on me at full draw while target shooting. Figured i'd save alittle money by getting the quest hammer, but i should have gone with the DXT in the first place. Got it now and i'm never looking back. The DXT is a smooth drawing bow and will be a good set-up. Just make sure you practice and get comfortable with the bow. Good luck
