We were walking into out location that we were going to hang stands and we decided to still hunt. Right below were were were goingto hang out stand were not 1 not 2 but 3 bucks the largest going about 160" and the others around 120". The large guy bounded off but I brought him back with a grunt or 2 but he faced me head on, no shot so I let him go. Do you think that because we disturbed these guys this would still be a good tree stand location?? I have never hunted from a tree before and appreciate the input

Deer a repeative creatures, at least from what I've seen. They have their bed areas, feeding areas etc. They may stray a bit but will return. I have hunted deer in the same area for 8 years on the same logging road and the deer are ALWAYS there even after I have harvested an animal.
Good luck

I have been hunting the same property for 6 years now and missed a glorious chance at a 150 class animal last October. Never did see him again from the stand. But low and behold had em in my sights again this year but would not come closer than 56 yards. Same treestand same path everything. I think the big thing will be scent and wind direction. If both are in your favor I say put the stand up.
Good Luck

I agree with Creekside. Sounds like they never figured out what you were. Been my experience if you get reall busted a grunt call won't stop them. Sounds like they heard/saw something, but never really ID'd you.
