Here is what I looked like after my right lense fogged up and I missed a 6X6++ elk at 20 yds and again at 25Yds.

My right lense was wet and foggy and there was no time to clean them or even drop my pack.
This caused me to have a bit of blured vision but at 20 Yds I didn't think to much of it. WRONG!!!
This caused the other eye to take over as the dominant eye and that makes the arrow go completely behind the target.
He was broadside with his head behind a tree and I shot behind him.TWICE!!
After getting back to camp I figured out what hapened and tested the theory by fogging the right lense and shooting, and also by squinting the right eye and shooting. Both times the shot was way off to the left.
Next time the glases will go on the ground!!!!!!!!!!if I don't have time to clean them off.

sorry you missed Pete but I have that trouble with the bifocals trying to adjust from peepsight to the pin. (lol) But try to carry a extra pair of specs.... I know finding a place to put them is worrysome but it might help the next time your in that situation

Sorry for the miss!
There is a product that you can put on your lens that will prevent fogging
Don't remember the name but you can get it in any drug store or at wall-mart

Sorry to here about your mishap. I've had the same thing happen. I try to keep a cloth in my pocket for a quick wipe if there is time. The antifog stuff works a bit, but it doesn't help if it's raining. Contacts I think are the answer if you can use them.

:P  You know what it is don't you? It's that greasy face paint. It will not allow you to prespire through the pores on your face. Therefore you sweat out more where you are least covered, like around the eyes and with that increased sweating there you're more likely to fog the specs. One way around it would be to paint your entire face including eyelids and undereyes. The downside here would be sweating out of the eyes, but you probably were doing that anyway when you missed the elk!

Theres a Valid point ...re: face paint ....... Thats why I never paint myself up ...Had that problem once As I wear Glasses as well...... I wear either a mask(I still get the odd Fogging situation with the mask if conditions are not in my favor) or a hed net (never fogged up yet)...or nothing concealing my face but my hat (Probally not the smartest Idea I have ever had)
