Bagged my first whitetail with bow on August 31. A nice 5 x 5. Friend of mine thinks it will score around 140. The most exciting thing I'v ever done.

I dunno - do skunks count ?!
I nailed a nice blacktail with a rifle on the opening day here, passed up a spike buck at 10 yards with my bow. Need to buy another tag and get out again.

took a buddy out and he got a black bear. Was rifle kill though as he has a destroyed knee and can't walk to stalk em.

Hi all. It's been quite some time since i've posted, just starting to get back into the surfing mode. Having an awsome season so far. Harvested a large eater cow elk on the second day of the season to start things off. 40 yard double lung pass through, she didn't even know what hit her. Then went to Elk camp. on the 8 th of Sept, (a yearly tradition with a few buddies), first morning out got a great assist on calling a 320 net bull for my buddie, what an awsome animal. Followed up the next evening by calling in a Large Black Wolf for the third member of the party. He connected at 6 yards, what a rush. Sept 12 th, was off on my first ever antelope hunt, with archery tackle. I would have to say that once the learning curve of trying to decoy them into range was over, that it was one of the most exciting ways to hunt that i've ever done. After 26 attemps number 27 proved to be the one. I harvested a nice 66 7/8 buck. To top the whole experience off, I was fortunate enough to experience it all with my newest hunting partner, my 12 year old daughter. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Plan on working very hard for her to experienc her first harvest this year. Will post as the season goes on. Here are a couple of pictures of the Lope hunt.

my hunting season has gone to crap this year, nothing in florida worth hunting besides a big hog i got last week. got skunked on my caribou hunt in alaska and had to rearrange some other hunting i had planned since i came down here to help the parents out. hoping to at least get back to pennsylvania for deer season (still small but bigger then florida deer at least) but that might not happen either, according to my immigration lawyer theres a good chance I could have my landing papers soon
