Maybe some of you more experienced guys out there can help me. Two weeks ago i had a very busy night in the stand. In at 5:00 p.m. and the first deer walked by at 5:30 and they kept coming. In all I watched 6 different bucks walk by ranging from a forkie to two nice 5x5's right at last light. The wind was not the greatest but did not get busted. The closest the big boys came to me was 56 yards. Here is the kicker. I have sat the stand twice since that night, both times with excellent winds and nothing, not even a doe. I know the land well and know the deer use this route to travel to the alfalfa field. I am set up about 150 yards in the timber from the alfalfa (the deer actually have to cross a road to get to the field. I am lost for reasons as to why all of a sudden they vanished. Any suggestions out there.

My two cents worth.
