Does anyone have a recipe for home made cover scents, earth, hemlock, ect. Thanks :?:

I have made many homemade cover scents. The best way to do it, I have found is go out to the area that you are hunting in and grab some of the plants, grasses....anything with a distinct smell from the area. Pine needles and such and then boil it in a large pot. Strain out the junk and put in a spray bottle. VOILA! Home made cover scent.

This receipe is used by a multitude of moose hunters and many deer hunters in our Eastern parts of Canada.

You will need heavy mineral oil that you will find in drug stores. This stuff is tasteless and odorless and is use to get you going (to the bathroom that is...) You mix that stuff to the tune of 3 to 5 parts with natural essense of the wood family in your area, (balm tree, black spruce, cedar)

Put the stuff in a "puish" bottle and you're in business.
