For those of you that are attending the ABA Awards banquet on April 1st weekend, you should be aware that the Red Deer Lodge, who were originally hosting the event, has had some difficulties. The roof of their banquet hall has collapsed and until the engineers have completed their survey of the entire building, the lodge remains closed. They hope to open on April 1st and are taking reservations and honoring those reservations already made for that date. However, shud there be a delay in the opening date, it may be a good idea to book a second room elsewhere just in case.
The Red Deer Lodge suggested the Capri Hotel 1-800-662-7197 (who are now the actual host hotel for the ABA Banquet and are honoring the group rate that the Red Deer Lodge had offered the ABA - Standard Room $119. per nite plus tax). This is also a very busy hotel so book NOW!!!!! if you wish to stay at the host hotel. The reservation booking ID number for the Capri is #13749. The address is 3310 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer.
Please pass on this info ASAP to anybody you know that is heading to the ABA Banquet.
