I recently paper tuned my bow. I had a consistent know right tear. I tried moving the rest toward the riser and nothing happened, still had a right tear. I finally tried moving the rest to the left and now I have decent bullet holes, but when I look down the arrow in the bow it seems way to far left. Is this normal? I shoot a cheaper Champion bow, dual cam. Could the arrow be left odf center shot and still paper tune fine?
Any help is appreciated.

A right hand tear on a right hand bow is usually a sign of a stiff arrow.
Try a heavier point, to correct the spine.
Also on a cheaper bow you will get alot more tourque, so it is not unusaual to have to tune it a little left of center.

Thanks for the info Sniper. I am using 125 field points and broadheads. This is a cheap bow, $250 cnd to be exact. Should I try to crank up the draw weight a bit. I am not sure what it is at now but I think around 60#.

I have a couple of comments here,
1) Please don't feel it is the bow. I have had many bows made by many manufacturers and those made over the last 10 years will do just fine. Check to see if the arrow is properly spined and if it is you can play a little with with weight of the bow or the point or whatever to get the best out of the equipment but -first- is it hitting where you point ? That is more important. If it is grouping OK and hitting the target "ignore the paper tune". If you are a bowhunter and can put the arrow in the vitals then don't worry about the path it takes to get there.
2) At our club, we have had many people come in to get help with their bows as the arrows don't fly as they think they should. They are angry with the equipment. I take their bow and after a bit of adjustment I shoot bullet holes though the paper. I give it back to them and the tears are back.
Much of the problem is with shooters form and how your bow fits your hand and how your hand reacts when you release the arrow. The shape of the handle can really effect the reaction of the arrow.
I have two Champion bows. I find them very good and I hunt with one. Each model bow is a bit different.
Please take the bow to a pro shop or to an Archery Club and have a coach or instructor check out your bow and your form.
I repeat that for a hunter and his hunting bow, the arrow placement is more importatnt than the paper tear.
