I put the guns up to try bowhunting this year.Headed out at dark to see what was around. As the sun started to rise I had myself on a ridge overlooking a large coule. As I glass around I saw about 40 Muley does and fawns.Only saw 2 bucks, aspike and a fork tine.I did get about 25 yards from a yearling fawn but passed. With that many does there has to be some bucks somehere! It sure was a fun day until the windgot to much.Looking forward to more bowhunting!!

you'll quickly see the challenge and fun in bowhunting not to mention the frustration, plus im sure you'll like the longer seasons and less draws.

Just got back from a couple of weeks down south bow huntng or should I say bow sighting
Came into a trail in the backwoods damm near stepped on a nice 4x4 white tail and while I was giving my self some discipline I noticed something a little off the trail about 42 yards in front of me, son of a gun its those elk I was looking for. Never got a shot as there was to much brush and I believe in clean kills
Two days later after we had 4 inches of snow came across a bull moose at 23 yard but no tag for him
Followed a five by five elk for days but could never get in contact with him but saw lots of nice mulies between 12 yards the closest and 150 yards the furthest but then I was not hunting mulies neither. But enjoyed every minute I was out there.

I have spent the last few evenings fallowing two groups of bucks. One group of 3 young bucks and one mature. The other group of seven with 3 mature bucks.Haven't got quite close enough for a shot yet but I don't want to spook them.I am getting their patterns figured out and hppfully will get a shot soon.

Well,it's going pretty good.On saturday I followed a group of 12 bucks,4over 150,and waited for them to bed down.I managed to sneak in to about 40 yards when I got spoted.Took a shot at one of the larger bucks, but missed :( .Went out again last night and was stacking another good buck.At about 60 yards a doe come over the holl and busted my.I have to say it's quite a rush to sneak up on a mature muly,Idon't know if I could ever go back to strickly rifle hunting again!!!.
