So SharpShooter and I go out to a little honey hole for Mulies we have permission on. I Snapped a big fat Doe .... My first kill with a bow this would be my 3rd season that I have picked up a bow ... and I got my meat animal with it .... She came right in on me about 17 yrds standing broadside .... Couldnt ask for a better target to shoot at. I let the arrow fly ...It felt perfect .... Thanks again Sniper fer the stuff you taught me at Lethbridge this summer .... 15 mins later I was dressing my first archery kill.

Deer Meats done ........

Now its time fer Elk meat

Congrats Mikey! I haven't even nocked an arrow yet this season. This week is my opener. Travelling for work sucks. Good to hear you got the first one.

Congrats Mikey!

My buddy got his first bow kill on Sept 07.A fat white tail doe walked under his ladder stand 5 minutes into the hunt.It took us a little more than 15 minutes to find her, more like 2.5 hours, but she's meat now.

I passed on a black bear that came into my stand 20 minutes into the first morning. It was a shooter bear but I wanted a bigger one.I also passed on a yearling mule deer doe, hoping for a shot at the doe with her,but she wouldn't give me the shot.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll never forget that feeling.

Just more proof that a real trophy doesn't have to be entered into a record book!
