Great start to the season!

Well its been a barn burner start of the season for me here so far. In addition to the archery bucks swamper and I took last week, Swamper got his LEH bull yesterday and my Pops and I got lucky and hammered an immature bull this morning!! Sorry, the two moose were shot with rifles :oops: The BBQ gene in my brain took over and I shot him with a rifle just be be sure I got my moose meat!! I haven't quite developed the will power yet to take a chance on missing out on moose meat!! :lol: ....maybe one day! Swampers barn is starting to look like a slaughter house as his relatives from the coast are up and took a bear as well!
Still waiting to get pics developed, but I will post em all up together when I get em done!!!

YEEHAW!!! FREEZERS FILLING UP!!!

Great job I will be up that way in a month for my moose draw. I'll be hunting between Likely and Horsefly. By the way how are the chickens this year we are expecting lots of them.

Chickens seem to be doing quite well this year, you shouldn't have much trouble taking home a cooler full! Good luck on your moose hunt!

Another moose got hung in the barn last night. Got a call from my son about 4:15 yesterday afternoon saying that Uncle Randy had just shown up with a moose to hang. Got home and there was a perfect 2 X 2 bull. For a pair of rookies they had done a great job of gutting and quartering. There are now 12 quarters and a bear in the barn. Have to start cutting on Thurday. Got to clean out the freezer so there is enough room.
