I live in Saskatchewan and we cant hunt on Sunday. What are some thoughts on this law? Is it like this everywhere else in Canada?

in BC we get to hunt on the lords day must be a drag not to hunt on sunday if you work mon. to fri :roll: :roll:

Where I live in Alberta we have zones that don't and zones that do allow Sunday hunting. I think if I had a nine to five job with only weekends off the Sunday law would suck.

As a guy who works Mon. to Fri it would be nice to have more than one day a week to get some good hunting in.

Taking the "Lords Day" off is a personal choice, and I would personally chose to hunt.

Sunday is my best day to get out for the week. The rest is work and my honey-do list days.

an antiquaited law that needs to be changed if you choose to "respect" the lords day off the so be it but why should the rest of us not be able to do what we want. My misses gets to shop on Sunday!!

In my opinion the Sunday no hunting law should be done away with. Here in BC we can hunt 7 days a week. The way I see it, if any store that wants to can be open on Sunday and here in Quesnel there are at least a half a dozen outlets open that are selling liquor, why shouldn't you be able to hunt on Sunday. Obvioulsly the "Lords Day" doesn't mean what it used to.

God and country aside - I think that if you can hook, hack and cook a fish on Sundays... We should all be able to hunt as well!

PS I am a Christian and as a family we spend many days all year round going fishing, hiking, spotting/scouting and have a great time doing so!

Nova Scotia has the lords day act, which woll soon be challenged by blepicite during the municipal election............Not so we can begin to hunt on Sunday, Just so that maybe we can shop on Sunday..........Yes, we are that far behind the rest of the country. :x
I can't hunt on Sunday. But I can fish, gamble (bingos) and go to church....I would rather hunt.
