My lower string silencer fell off while shooing tonight. Do you need silencers or can you get away without using them? Some have told me I need them another has said I don't need them! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are pros and cons to both views. Short end of it - they will help quiet the vibration of the string when you shoot but they also inhibit (albeit slight) the velocity of the arrow. I think that you'll notice a larger difference with shock absorbing stabilizer over the loss or gain of string silencers.

Are you hunting more than target shooting? If so, maybe consider limb savers, etc. over the string silencers. Personally I believe that the more quiet you can make the bow the better your odds will get when you do shoot - but skill and practice is what really makes the biggest difference... just my two cents worth

If it's not to loud don't worry. All they are for is to quiet the bow down. Some bows need them some don't.
Cat whiskers work good and are cheap. They last better than leeches too.
