I think the hunter education test your are refering to is not all that hard, as long as you are knowledgable in hunting related skills. The best would be to try it, you may surprise yourself.

You should maybe try looking up a Fish and Wildlife or Rod and Gun club in your area. Most have programs for young, aspiring hunters that prep you for the test specific to the province/state you live in. If you don't come from a hunting family or don't know any hunters they also have mentoring programs where you could get paired up with an experienced hunter and shown the ropes.
Good luck

I think you'll find that alot of these test are really about common sense.
Just relax and pick the the most logical and safe answer.
And good luck.

As an instructor for the first time hunters course,I can assure you the test is not that hard if you study your manual. As mentioned above most of it is everyday knowledge. You need to know animal and bird identificatio, basic first aid and survival skills as well as a general knowledge of hunting practices in your province. This includes rifle, shotgun and bow.If you have the desire to pass you should have no problem with the test as long as you study your book.Just remember that once you do pass, hunting is a sport you are continualy learning and that piece of paper only prepares you for the next step and shows that you have reached a level of maturity that will allow you to learn from others and it does not make you an expert in hunting.I would also advise you to take a firearms safety course(or bow course depending on your preference) before you even consider going hunting.Good luck and keep us posted on how you do.We always welcome young people in the sport and there are a lot of people here that can answer most of your questions,or refer you to the proper place to find the answers.
