Today was supposed to be my last afternoon shift ,been on it for a month and I hate it.
I get to work a little early this afternoon and there are cops,fire rescue and an ambulance in the parking lot.Seems there was a bad accident just before last coffee .The resaw operator was blowing down the saw with air while the machine was running and I guess the blade caught the wand and it sucked his hand into the blade .He lost all his fingers and probably the top half of his hand.
I didn't want to work today but I didn't want the day off this way.
Don't know if we'll be working on monday,depends on What OHAS has to say.
