Hello everybody , I was just sitting around thinking about all the different things to hunt in the province of Alberta and the amount of miles a guy can put on his pick-up persuing all them.
From where I live it is a fair piece of traveling to hunt good mulies. This got me thinking about hunting B.C and some different spieces that are there ,such as blacktail deer.
My question to anyone from B.C. is , how difficult are they (black tail) to bow hunt and does a non-res need a guide to hunt them there.
It seems to me that this would be a great combo hunt to do, a mountian mulie and a black tailed deer.
Do they both enhabit the same terrain and if so when would the best time to hunt them?
Just thinking of hunting new things and seeing some new sights.:)

jim hunting in bc is good but not easy . Blacktails live on the coast and make a whitetail seam dumb tough to hunt with a bow. Not in the same area as mulies. And you just need a resident to hunt with.

We now live in norther BC, Tumbler Ridge to be exact...I got some real nice picks of a black tail this weekend....I will try to post soon..In our WMU our mulie tag is good for black tail too.
This guy must of know he was safe because he let me walk up to about 40 yrds to take the picks...he was actually bedded when I came across him.

ladyarcher i am a little confused about you seeing blacktail in tumbler ridge . yes you can use the same tag black tail and mulie and they do interbreed but over near hope and squamish . boone and crocket have a line bout harrison lake that is as far east as is a true blacktail range
