With the overcast this morning, I thought I would take a quick drive out to one of my Whitetail haunts. Just pulled in to the driveway and saw six deer about 200 yards out into the crop. I grabbed the binos and glassed 6 bucks. The smallest of the bucks would have been in the 120" range. The largest was big. I won't hazard a guess, but he was awful big racked. A nice 5 X 5 with what looked like about a 8 - 10" drop on his right side. They were all still in velvet. Season opens real soon and wouldn't you know it, I am being shipped overseas for a couple of weeks, so my season start is on hold. Anyways boys, go get em!

Seven more sleeps before we head out for 6 uninterupted days of bowhunting for moose, elk, mule deer, whitetails and bear. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. Making a list and checking it twice. Making sure that nothing gets forgotten.
