I am getting into bow hunting and found a the Champion Wolverine to be a really nice bow (at least how it felt in the store). However, when I went online to research this bow I could find nothing, except for information regarding a supposed lawsuit against the company. Now I am unsure whether I should buy this bow. Is this their last year for production? Should I avoid this product altogether and begin my search again? Does anyone else have this bow...? I have not seen the bow on sale anywhere: has anyone else? One would think they would be clearing them out if the company no longer exists.

Nice site...just discovered it tonight!

Any thoughts?

Champion has closed their doors after a lawsuit against them. They made awesome bows, but the problem now may be getting replacement parts should something go wrong. If you do decide to purchase it, make the shop give you a substantial price cut.

Hey Climber..Welcome to the bowzone! Champion did go out of business so there will be no warranty on the bow if you purchase it. Probably not the best way to go. The parts for these bows will be hard to come by soon as well. You have a second choice?

Hey warden,

Is this a recent thing. I know they have changed hands several times in the last 5 years or so, but I hadn't heard that. I got me one too. A saber Don't need any parts yet but jeez.

The browning bow I traded when I got this is still at the shop where I left it...may should get it back huh?

I heard about the lawsuit as well. Apparently someone in Canada had a Canadian patent on the soloccam. This individual is starting lawsuits with the small guys like Champion and moving on to the bigger names like Bowtech, Hoyt, and Mathews. I also heard Champion has filled bankrupt and will probably open under a different name. This means the person starting the lawsuits will end up with nothing but big lawyer bills. I am not sure what other companies have had lawsuits, but I think Bowtech is being sued also. I am also not sure how true this is (we all know what happens through the grapevine). I think that if it is true and the person filing the lawsuits succeeds, all other bow companies will probably do what Champion is supposedly doing. And let me tell you, I will not feel sorry for that guy. There are many alternative routes he/she could have taken to become rich.
Again, this is what I heard through the grapevine. Sorry if it is wrong.
