MY TREESTAND GOT STOLEN IN THE COCHRANE AREA

WHOO BOY! AM I PISSED!

Here's the deal...I had this treestand stolen sometime in the past year. I guarantee that no one out there has a stand like this in this area.

There will be a reward offered to who ever comes to me with information leading to the arrest of the person/persons involved. You can call me at 813-7977 or e-mail me directly at scott@bowzone.ca.

There is one strap that is tied on the ratchet strap at the top of the stand that I cut with a hatchet.

Is that your Owl's Nest???? Did you ask the land owner if he grabed it?????? Man people piss me off... I tell you if I see it I will call you on your cell and wait till you get there.... Did you identify it on the frame or anything????? I am sorry too hear that man it's a sad day when you have too padlock things up in the woods so a "fellow" hunter doesn't steel your stuff..... :pissed:

Yep, I did. I am the only person that's had permission to hunt on this land in the last 20 years. Someone trespassed and stole it.

I know of no one that has a stand like this. You can be almost positive that if you see one like this, it's mine.

It's a sad state of affairs when some A-hole trespasses and steals your property.I hunt mostly public land and have left a hang on stand in a tree for the entire season and it's still tere at the end of the season!I used to lay awake at nights wondering if it would still be there when I went to hunt from it.I've heard the horror stories at Jim Bows of the guys whos stands get stolen from the private land they're hunting.I guess I should count my lucky stars that I've beaten the odds so far.Sorry for your loss Scott and I hope you or someone else finds out who this sorry piece of $hit is and nail his a$$ to the wall!

this really sucks,i am hearing more of this kind of stuff more and more.things are getting pretty bad when you havt to lock up your stands but unfortunatley that's the way things are going.i'll keep an eye out and an ear to the ground down here at the centre.we have heavy duty plastic coated steel cable with a lock for sale for 19.99.will post a pic in next couple of days,i have to reinstall software for digital camera.

That really sucks. Last year i had the same thing happen to me. Openning day I wake up bright and early, excited for the day, nice crisp morning. I walk to where my stand should be. Man, it ruined my whole day.

That happened to my son's, son, when he was 13 yrs. old and it was just a little bit behind their back yard. He knew it was a bunch of drug-ees and he called their house and talked to the entire house over their intercom phone and no one admitted it. But he had a nice talk to one several years later when he found out who stole it....... that was great. Well, hope you get some satisfaction................thieves very seldom keep quiet, and it may suprise you who stole it, maybe an friend or to you not a friend. Grandma Patty.

I bought a new tree stand this year and have permission to hunt on private land but even with that I am not sure if I want to leave my tree stand up or not. some times it is a hassle to remove it and then try to set it up again before first light.
I hope that you can recover your tree stand and maybe lock the bas----s up to the tree and leave them there for a day or two.
A friend of mine was telling me about a circular brick fire place that had got stolen from his yard but the fool that stole it was two blocks away and set it up in his yard for a barbecue LOL they got him red handed

I say put up another stand in the same place then one more 30 yards away, spend a few evenings in the other stand and wait for the filthy buggers to come looking for merchandise again. what you do after that is up to your discretion but I for one wouldn`t miss one less theif in the world :wink:

if possible bring some of those gobbler gullotines with ya and do a field test for us, i`ve been looking at them lately :o
