I own an archery shop and that's the only glue I use for fletching , never had a problem with vanes not staying on . When doing arrows with a smooth surface like the bemans I usually just wipe them down with 99 % isyprol (spelling?) alcohol or Lava bar soap and HOT tap water , then fletch . This type of glue works by lack of oxygen so the trick is to not use to much yet enough that the entire vane base is covered . If you need to clean the excess off you're using to much , if you don't see a VERY SLIGHT oozing of glue at the base of the fletch you're not using enough . It also helps to store your glue in a cool place( refrigerator) with the lid on when not in use . This glue is suppose to have a shelf life of 2 years if stored this way . Don't know what esle to tell you , hope this is helpful .

Also, depends on which vanes you're using.... some manufactures use release agents to release the vanes from the forms. Maybe try cleaning the contact surface of the vane with the same isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip to see if that makes a difference in adhesion?

The only fletch that still needs cleaning that I'm aware of is Flex Fletch .
