Expanded CWD Testing Area

I do most of my hunting in the CWD Mandatory Head Submission area.

SRD really dropped the ball this year. The head submission freezers were not available to hunters until after Thanksgiving Weekend. I know of many deer that were harvested in the Mandatory Head Submission area, including 2 of my own, that were not turned in for testing because there were no drop off freezers available to the public.

SRD was contacted and told of the issue. Their response, "We didn't think anybody would kill anything before the primative weapons season.".

SRD gets all over us to submit our heads, then drops the ball with no freezers.

Then to top it off, it is hit or miss whether the hunter will actually get the results of the CWD test for a particular deer. In each of the past 2 seasons, I have submitted heads that I have not received results for.
