hey there all, i'm new to the field of archery and i was wondering if anyone could help me out .. I bought me a fred bear badge yesterday and last night was drawing it to get the pratice in and accedently dry fired... now she is in good shape still but the draw on the string is loosend. now could that be because of the dry fire or cause i'm just now getting used to the draw weight?

Hey tigerlilly...Be it that you are new to archery...I would suggest that you take your bow into a pro shop (if you are in the North go and see Jim ... you can get his address from http://www.jimbowsarchery.com ) or if you are in the South...Visit The Calgary Archery Centre and talk to Al or Craig ( you can get their address from http://www.calgaryarcherycentre.com ).
Don't shoot it again until you have had it looked at by a pro because if the limbs and/or riser are damaged, you could really hurt yourself.

It should be okay because the Badge is a low poundage bow, but to be on the safe side take it by a shop to have them check out the limbs for cracks and the cam axles to make sure they are straight. Calgary archery Center is a sponsor of Bowzone.caso that would be a good place to go to. If you bought it from another shop take it to them.

And a second on not shooting or drawing until it is checked out.

cool thanks all.. I am going to the archery tonight actually so I will take her back to graig (as he was the one that set me up with her...since i'm a tiny little thing with a draw length of 27 the badge was the only bow that was small enough for me.... :) happy shooting all...
