I was just curious what brands would you all recommend. I would prefer not to spend too much, but will put out money for a quality product.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Leica rangefinder, but man area they pricey! My bud has a Nikon and he loves it, it is a really nice, compact little unit. I have an older Bushnell Yardage Pro 400, it's all I need and it works great. The best part is that I got it for a cheap price off of E-Bay. Check them out there, there's tons of them on there and if you bid right and be patient, you can really get a smokin' deal. Good luck,

Mike

I use the Opti-logic Xt series. It compensates for up hill or down hill shots.
I have a review of it on my home site.

Bushnell has a new low end LRF, close to the same size asthe yardage pro style, but way cheaper. Check out S.I.R.

I have the Bushnell yardage Pro 500
I really liked this unit
it's only downfall is its bulkiness

I just bought a Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport on eBay (sorry - none were posted at eHunt.ca) for $205 Cdn including shipping. I'm looking forward to getting it and trying it out.

I have both a Bushnelll Yardage Pro and the yardage Pro Compact 800. I love the Compact 800 becasue of the added features. And the best part was I got this one from a lady who was moving and had no use for it. It was her ex's and didn't even know what it was.
